Set up the Australian way
Weeks start on Monday, dates read "26 Jan", it prints on A4, and the holidays are the ones Australians actually get. The summer holidays fall over Christmas, so this calendar is just as useful in January, when families plan the school year ahead.
Public holidays in 2027
- New Year's Day: Friday 1 January
- Australia Day: Tuesday 26 January
- Easter: Good Friday 26 March to Easter Monday 29 March, an early Easter
- Anzac Day: Sunday 25 April. Most states do not add a Monday holiday when it falls on a weekend, so check your state's announcement.
- King's Birthday: Monday 14 June (Western Australia and Queensland hold it later in the year)
- Christmas Day and Boxing Day fall on the weekend, so Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 December are the extra days off.
Mother's Day (9 May) and Father's Day (5 September, the first Sunday in September in Australia) are marked too.
State holidays aren't printed
Labour Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Easter Saturday and show days depend on the state or city, so they aren't filled in. Write them in after printing, or choose "No holidays" for a blank calendar. For school terms, print the 12-page monthly layout and mark the term dates and school holidays for your state in each month.
