Division and fact mastery
In 4th grade, children use multiplication facts to divide, and they need both to be automatic before long division and fractions arrive. The 4th grade math generator makes division facts that always have whole-number answers and never divide by zero, so every problem is fair. Mix multiplication and division sheets on alternate days to strengthen the link between them.
A weekly routine
- Monday: a multiplication sheet as a warm-up.
- Wednesday: division facts, 20 problems.
- Friday: a timed sheet, marked with the answer key, with scores recorded on a chart.
Because each sheet is newly generated, you can give the same settings again and again without children memorising answers.
Puzzles for confident readers
4th graders are ready for the Hard word search setting, where words run backwards and diagonally on a large grid. Use the holiday lists, or type in this week's spelling or science vocabulary to make your own puzzle in seconds. Ask early finishers to write definitions for every word they found.
Games for the end of term
The bingo sets work well in 4th grade with a small twist: read a definition or a clue instead of the word itself, so players must work out the answer before they mark it. Number bingo becomes a mental math game when you call a division fact, such as "72 divided by 8", instead of the number.
