The class party game that runs itself
Christmas bingo is the easiest party activity to set up: hand out cards, call words, and the room goes quiet as everyone listens. This set has 30 cards, each with 24 words picked from a list of 36, from reindeer and nutcracker to jingle bells and hot cocoa. Because the list is longer than the card, no two cards are the same, and nobody wins on the same call as their neighbour.
How to play with a class
- Give every child a card and a handful of markers: counters, mini marshmallows or crayons all work.
- Read words from the caller sheet and tick each one off, or cut the sheet into slips and pull them from a stocking.
- The first to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and reads their words back to check.
- For a longer game, play for four corners or a full card.
Change it for your group
Younger children do better with a 3 × 3 card and a shorter list such as elf, star, tree, bell and gift. If you have more than 30 students, raise the number of cards to 40. Add the names of your class, school or teacher to the list for a personal touch.
Printing tips
Print two cards per page to halve the paper, then cut along the dashed line. The green border and free-space star read clearly in black and white, so a standard school printer is fine. The caller sheet prints last, so you can leave it out of the student copies.
