Summer break begins
June is the month the routine changes. Most US schools finish in late May or June, and the calendar quickly fills with camps, swimming lessons, family visits and holidays. A printed month on the fridge lets everyone see what's coming.
June 2027 dates
- Juneteenth: Saturday, June 19. Because it falls on a Saturday, the federal holiday is observed on Friday, June 18, and both days are marked.
- Father's Day: Sunday, June 20
- The summer solstice, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, is Monday, June 21.
June 1, 2027 is a Tuesday and the month has 30 days.
Making the most of the month
- Write a summer bucket list on the notes lines (this preset has them turned on) and pick one item each week.
- Track a summer reading challenge: one square coloured for every day of reading.
- Note camp drop-off times, what to pack and who is doing pickup.
- Plan a Father's Day surprise. Kids can make the card while you write in the date.
Teachers can use June to plan for next year: print a page for August and September too, and mark training days. Prefer a blank page? Switch holidays to "None".
