Thanksgiving month
November builds towards one big Thursday. Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of the month, which in 2027 is November 25. Many schools close for the Wednesday or the whole week, so it's worth checking your district's calendar and writing the days off in early.

- November 1 is a Monday.
- Daylight saving time ends: Sunday, November 7 (clocks go back one hour)
- Veterans Day: Thursday, November 11
- Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 25
Plan the holiday on paper
- Work back from the 25th: order the turkey, plan the menu, then shop for long-life items the weekend before.
- Write who is bringing which dish into the notes lines, or in the box for the day.
- Mark travel days, flight times and who's picking up whom from the airport.
- Classrooms can run a gratitude calendar, with one thing to be thankful for written into each school day.
