Both cases, every letter
By kindergarten, children are learning to read lowercase letters in books, so writing them matters as much as writing capitals. Each of the 26 pages in this pack has both: rows of the uppercase letter, rows of the lowercase letter, a row of words that start with it, and empty rows to write freely.
Medium size for growing writers
The Medium size uses handwriting lines about the height that kindergarten paper uses, with a dashed midline. Lowercase letters show clearly how they relate to the lines: a, c, e and o fit under the midline, b, d, h and l reach the top line, and g, j, p, q and y drop below the baseline. Talking about "tall," "small" and "falling" letters helps children place them.
The b and d problem
Nearly every kindergartener reverses b and d at some point. The stroke-order arrows help: b starts with a tall stick and then the ball, while d starts with a c-shaped curve and then the stick. Practising the movement, not just the shape, is what fixes the reversal.
Using the pack through the year
Print one page a week to go with your phonics programme, or the whole set as a morning work book. Every page downloads in one PDF. For children who still need bigger letters, switch to Large, or try the Pre-K capitals pack.
