How to write B and b
Capital B: pull a straight line down first. Go back to the top for a small bump that ends at the midline, then a slightly bigger bump from the midline to the baseline. Lowercase b is "stick, then ball": a tall line from the top line to the baseline, then a circle drawn clockwise that touches the line.
The B sound
B is a lip-popping sound: press the lips together, then let out a little puff, as in bus and ball. Children often mix up b and d, so say "bat first, then the ball" while writing b.
Words to say and draw: bus, ball, bee, bear, banana.
What's on the sheet
The first B and the first b are solid, with numbered dots and arrows showing where each stroke starts and which way it goes. The rest of each row is dotted for tracing. Next comes a row of b words to trace, then an empty row for writing B and b alone. Choose Large for Pre-K or Medium for kindergarten, or switch to uppercase or lowercase only.
Activity idea
Blow bubbles and say "b-b-bubble" each time one pops. Then trace the rows of b on the sheet and draw a bubble around the neatest one in each row.
